NIHF-STEM seventh grade learners, under the direction of Coach Beal, attended a three-day learning assembly at the Statehouse in Columbus. The workings of the Ohio government came alive as the Learners were given the opportunity to present two bill issues which they designed. Our learners presented bills concerning nutrition and invasive species. Along with students who attended throughout the state, learners debated and voted on their bills. Bills that were passed were taken to the House or Senate for full debate and vote.
