Congratulations to the NIHF-STEM Rube Goldberg team who placed in the top 6 area schools with their orbiting Rube Goldberg entry! In addition to the team, fifty other learners from the school participated in the Goodyear STEM Day at Firestone High School. In a keynote address, learners were challenged with solving three future mobility innovations. Our learners attended several sessions during the day and were inspired by a polymer lab hosted by the University of Akron, electricity demonstraions by First Energy, a trajectory competition and chemical demonstration with Goodyear, and a crystal structure challenge with Timken Steel. A big thank you goes out to Goodyear for making this an engaging STEM day!
