It’s Science Friday at the STEM School! Intertia, motion, force, and friction experiments captivated STEM learners in the Great Hall at the National Inventors Hall of Fame STEM School. As Professor Polymer, also known as Dr. John Fellenstein from the University of Akron, released a two-story pendulum swinging back inches from his face to demonstrate energy loss due to friction. Learners eagerly participated in examples of friction pulling a dollar bill placed between two glasses. Overcoming friction with force, learners used karate chopping motion to remove a pan between a glass of water and a golf ball to drop the ball in the water. We are looking forward to sharing our excitement with others in our next Science Friday event which will go live! Stay tuned for more!
