STEM Girls Attend Ada Lovelace Day at UA
Posted on 10/28/2018
On October 10th, twelve 8th grade female learners attended The University of Akron's event celebrating Ada Lovelace Day. Ada Lovelace is the first recognized female computer programmer. The Women in Engineering group, directed by Dr. Heide Kressman, invited the learners to listen to several female graduate students explain their research projects. This was a great way for our girls to see and hear women in engineering and science fields showcase their work. This event was held in the Auburn Science Center on the UA campus in the Science and Technology Library.
