Ten Year Anniversary

Congratulations go out to our school families, staff, and community partners on the 10th anniversary of our foundation in 2009. With the idea of inventing the future, our school was the first STEM middle school in the State of Ohio. With the opportunity to reshape teaching and learning to prepare learners for rapidly changing technology driven jobs in the future, the school partnered with the City of Akron, National Inventors Hall of Fame, The University of Akron, the Greater Akron Chamber and Akron Tomorrow. These partners, as well as other business resources, brought a wealth of expertise and innovative opportunities to our learning coaches and learners. To celebrate this success, in attendance with STEM faculty were partners from The University of Akron, the Akron Zoo, the National Inventors Hall of Fame, Goodyear, Downtown Akron Partnership, Superintendent James, Assistant Superintendent McWilliams-Woods, Patrick Bravo, and Rev. Curtis Walker. We shared memories and hopes for the future within conversations at a reception to honor this milestone. As we look to the future, we are excited to see the creativity, imagination, and innovation that will continue to shape our school with the strong support of families and community partners.
