The People's Republic of China Delegation Visit

Global Ties of Akron is an organization whose motto is, "Linking Akron Globally One Handshake at a Time". Each year they bring a delegation from a different country to tour our school and learn about STEM education. This year, our guests hailed from The People's Republic of China. Ten educators attended Morning Meeting, toured the school, and asked lots of questions. Coach Liang invited them into her Mandarin Chinese class where they saw firsthand how our learners experience the language and culture of China. The feedback we received was all positive. They commented on how knowledgeable and confident our learners are and how engaging they found our ambassadors. These cross-cultural collaborations are a benefit to all of us and are only possible because of the efforts of learning coaches and learners. A big thank you to all of the learners who presented on this day as well as Coach Hall, Coach Rodgers, and Coach Liang!
