STEM Learners will enjoy celebrating International Red Panda Day at the Akron Zoo!
Each year our classes work with the Akron Zoo with different design challenges. Last year our fifth-grade learners were given a red panda animal enrichment design challenge from the Akron Zoo. At the time, the red pandas were not in their new exhibit. We are excited to share that the new Akron Zoo red panda exhibit opening celebration will be this Saturday, September 18th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. It is also International Red Panda Day! This international awareness day is dedicated to learning about the red pandas and saving their habitat. The festivities at the zoo include enrichment sessions, red panda training, crafts, family photos with the red panda mascot and so much more! Our families will be sure to enjoy this special occasion after their STEM experience with the zoo. Our current fifth-graders will enjoy seeing what is in store for them this year too! Don’t miss this epic event included with the price of admission.
