Learning & Community Partnersips Highlighted in a Leadership Akron Visit to NIHF-STEM

During a visit to NIHF-STEM on March 16, 2022, Leadership Akron engaged in learning with our learners and discovered the importance of community partnerships with our school. In the Digital Fabrication Lab, visitors were emersed in virtual reality geometry lessons our eighth-grade learners designed for 6th-grade students. Seventh-grade learners shared how area and volume can be learned using augmented reality. Our Invention Incubator is a special learning environment in which learners design, prototype, and build. Learners shared their prototypes and final products. Our slime machine and liquid floor tile musical instrument highlighted our understanding of the engineering design process. Our robotics partnership with Goodyear was featured by learners who worked with Goodyear to design a robotic track for our Ozobot robots. Stay tuned for details about our Ozobot Tournament in May!
