Sixth Grade NIHF-STEM Visits STEM High School Engineering Lab

Our sixth grade engineering learners are designing robots in Tinkercad to solve problems on Mars. To extend their knowledge, they were invited to the engineering lab at STEM High School to see how engineering students there solved a Mars Rover tire challenge given to them by the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Sixth graders visited the test lab and were immersed in the roles taken by engineers on a design team. Learners explored design materials as they experimented with their ideas, took on the role of digital design using Inventor programming, and assumed the role of project manager to capture the team in action with video storytelling.
