The Roots of Rubber Plaza Repainting05/19/2023
Four years ago, through a generous grant from the Knight Foundation and the collaborative work of the Downtown Akron Partnership, our learners participated in a public art project with art collective, Boa Mistura from Madrid, Spain. They worked with our learners to design our plaza as a link between The University of Akron and downtown Akron. As part of the grant, Boa Mistura was brought back to freshen up the plaza and return it to its beautiful colors. Learners and staff helped paint and will celebrate our hard work on May 19th on the plaza!
