This week, the Digital Fabrication Lab added two GlowForge laser cutters to its toolbox, available for coaches and learners to use in projects. A laser cutter uses motors and a gantry to move a laser in a pre-programmed pattern, cutting or engraving various thin materials. The first creations to emerge were pumpkins, followed by some robotic tiger masks for our STEM Showcase event for potential future learners. Thanks, Coach Labovitz!
