Thursday morning, Professor Polymer paid a visit to NIHF STEM Middle School to do some Spooky Science. With the help of learners and staff, he demonstrated singing rods (steel rods vibrated with friction to create sound), flash paper (treated paper that burns very quickly leaving almost nothing behind), and made colored foam erupt from test tubes. Even though the exploding jack-o-lantern experiment didn't go according to plan, everyone had a great time and learned a lot. Thanks, Professor Polymer!
