Solving Our Invasive Species Problem

Solving Our Invasive Species Problem
Identifying Invasive SpeciesOn October 26th our seventh graders visited the Cuyahoga Valley National Park to assist park rangers in removing invasive plant species. They worked hard under the guidance of park staff to cut out Privet and Multiflora Rose bushes from the Hampton Hills area. These learners have been studying invasive species and the negative impact they have on our ecosystems. This activity was a great way to put our science curriculum into action! While they were there, Park Ranger Josh Bates asked if they would come back to help the park staff remove another invasive species...earthworms! Stay tuned to see what happens next!
